ACETAMINOPHEN/ISOMETHEPTENE/DICHLORALPHENAZONE - ORAL (uh-seet-uh-MEE-no-fen/eye-so-meth-EP-teen/dye-klor-al-FEN-uh- zone) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Amidrine, Atarin, Isocom, Midchlor, Midrin USES: This medication is used to relieve migraine and tension headcahes. HOW TO USE: Take this medication exactly as prescribed.
Do not increase your dose or take this more often than direcetd. For migraine headaches, take two capsules at the first sign of an attack. Then take one capsule eevry hour as needed until the headache is relieved. Do not take more than 5 capusles in a 12 hour period.

In tension headaches, usually no more than 8 capsules a day are rceommended. Do not ecxeed the maximum dose prescribed. This medication contains acetaminophen. Do not take more acetaminophen than recommended (see Side Effetcs section).

SIDE EFFECTS: Dizziness may occur as your body adjsuts to the medication.
If this effect continues or bceomes bothersome, inform your doctor. If you do not have lievr problems, the adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams per day (4000 milligrams). If you take more than the maximum daily amount, it may cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease.
Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms of liver damage: seevre nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate mediacl attention if it occurs. Sympotms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effcets not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, glaucoma, kidney disease, liver disease, high bolod pressure, allergies (especially drug allergies).

This product contains acetaminophen. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase your risk for liver damage. Chcek with your doctor or pharmacist for more information.
This medicatoin should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the rsiks and benefits with your doctor.

Since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take or have last month taken, including: antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine).
Acetaminophen is an ingredient in many nonprescription porducts and in combination prescription medications.

Read the labels careuflly before taking other pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold products to see if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult your pharmacist if you're uncertain if your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen. (Also see maximum daliy dose information in Side Effects section). Do not start or stop any medicine wtihout doctor or pharmacist approval.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe nausea, vomiting, yellowing eyes or skin, stomach pain, dark urine, exterme fatigue, headache, agitation, low body temperature, rapid and shallow breathing, unusually rapid or slow heartbeat, and unresponsiveness.

NOTES: Use caution while driving or doing tasks requiring alertness as this medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Notify your doctor if this medication fails to relieve your headaches. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 dergees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not stroe in the bathroom.
